PhD Student at Applied Stem Cell Technologies at University of Twente

My PhD is focussed on using organs-on-chips to recapitulate different diseases related to blood vessels. Using microscale engineering and cell biology, we make models of thrombosis and endothelial dysfunction that occurs in patients with COVID-19, or patients treated with chemo/ immunotherapies. I further refine the current models and use them to prove that we can mimic the in vivo situation of a specific patient.
